Though Mustique is a remote island paradise, the modern communications amenities are not left to the ages. Intra-island telephone communications are free of charge while international calls can be made for a fee. Mustique communications can also be undertaken with a phone card if guests have access to them. Dial-up internet access is available from most Mustique villas while DSL is available at select homes for use if guests have brought their laptops. Mustique does offer computer access through the Mustique Library. For those who do not use the internet or url-based news sources, American television and cable programming is available.
Mustique Internet:
Guests traveling with a computer can simply make use of the dial-up Internet access from all of the villas and the hotel's 20 rooms. Those without computers have access to public computer terminals in the island's library. Local ISP connections cost a flat fee of US$30 per week.
Two connections available:
32k Direct Dial Access
DSL Broadband in villas which are equipped
Mustique Telephone:
International Direct Dial is available to all guests. An itemized bill of calls will be attached to your account. You will be invoiced for all calls off Mustique, from your extension. Island calls are free.
For outgoing calls, the prefix '9' gives access off-island, and also international (e.g. to New York, 9-01(212)555-4433; or London, 9-044(207)555-4422).
For incoming direct international calls to your villa extension number, the prefix '456-3' must precede the 3 digits extension number - (e.g. (784)456-3409 for House Rentals Dept.)
To have incoming calls directed through island switchboard, dial (784)458-4621.
Mustique Fax:
Postcards and stamps may be bought and mailed from the Mustique Company offices. Faxes may also be sent from the office. You will be advised immediately of any incoming mail/faxes. Courier service (DHL/Federal Express) is available through St. Vincent.
